Why the draw is fair, and how to check

Every draw records the seed it came from, and that seed reproduces the draw exactly. The generator is a hand-written xorshift128+ pinned to golden test vectors, selection uses rejection sampling rather than a modulo (which quietly favours the low numbers), the shuffle is a real Fisher–Yates, and the team split randomises which team gets the extra person.

The app also refuses to cheat in your favour: it never avoids the previous winner, never weights a name, and never smooths out a streak. The same name twice in a row is what fair looks like sometimes, and the panel says so — right next to the numbers you can count yourself.
