None. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically, OmitTranslator does not:
All translation is performed on your device using on-device language models. Conversation mode uses your device's built-in speech recognition in on-device only mode and reads translations aloud with your device's built-in voices. Your text and your voice are processed locally and are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
The only time OmitTranslator uses the internet is to download a language model once, on your request, so that language can then work fully offline. These downloads are delivered by the operating system's own channels (Google Play Services on Android, Apple's on-device services on iOS). The download contains only the language model — it never includes your text or audio. After a model is downloaded, that language works with no connection at all.
Saved phrases (your phrasebook), your chosen languages, and display preferences are stored locally on your device only. They are never synced to a server. Removing the app deletes this data.
OmitTranslator does not collect any data from anyone, including children. It contains no ads and no in-app purchases.
We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect any. The on-device machine-learning components are provided by the operating system / Google ML Kit and run locally; they are not used to send your content anywhere.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
