Privacy Policy — Tap Counter · Baro

Last updated: 2026-08-09 · Terms of Use · Tap Counter · Baro

Summary (TL;DR)

Tap Counter · Baro is a 100% on-device app. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information on our servers. There is no backend. There are no analytics, no ads, and no third-party trackers of any kind.

What the app accesses

Permission / data Why
No system permissions at all The app never asks for the microphone, camera, location, contacts, photos, notifications, or health data. Counting a tap needs none of them, so none are requested.
Local storage (your counts) Your saved sessions — the label you typed, the total count, the start and end time, and the timestamps of each tap that draw the interval graph — are written to the app’s private storage on this device. You can delete any session, or all of them, from the History screen.
Haptics (vibration) Used only to give a physical click when you tap. It reads nothing and can be turned off in the app.

What leaves your device

Nothing from the app itself. Tap Counter · Baro makes no network requests — not for counting, not for storage, not for analytics, not for updates. Your sessions never sync anywhere and there is no account to create. You can verify this in airplane mode: every feature, including history and the interval graph, continues to work.

Opening a link to another Baro app in the App Store (cross-promo footer), or tapping “send an idea” to open your own email app, hands off to that app externally — those are the only optional, user-initiated external actions, and they happen only when you tap them.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear here and the “Last updated” date above will change.
